How It Started…
Club Shelter was started in March 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic to bring people together during a time when fear, sadness, and uncertainty circulated throughout the world. I wanted to create an interactive platform where people could listen to various genres of music to escape what was going on in the world. Initially, Club Shelter was “open” on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. Months later, I came-up with the moniker “Turn-Up Tuesday.” I asked my daughter (McKenzie) to be the hostess. Her job was to introduce the genre of music that I’ll be spinning that evening….She was a hit, which boosted viewership to over 1000 views per week.
